Adventure Trips

Our newest middle-school enrichment program is an annual adventure trip to further students’ learning about the topics we are studying that year. Since our whole school follows the model of a four-year rotating curriculum, the travel will also rotate every four years to keep it relevant to our studies. Our travels will range from Raleigh to Central America, with trips to lots of places in between. The Fifth and Sixth grade class will take two-day trips to places within driving distance, while the Seventh and Eighth grade class will travel farther and stay for longer.

Our Fifth and Sixth grade class has visited Raleigh, NC, and will be traveling to Charleston, SC, in the 2023-2024 school year. Our Seventh and Eighth grade class has visited Boston, MA, Washington, D.C., and Nashville, TN, and will return to Washington in 2023-2024. We incorporate student-led fund-raising into the trip planning to ensure that every student will be able to attend.
