Looking for a change?
As the summer comes to a close we have had a surge in enrollment, but we still have space available in all classes. If you, or someone you know, has a child who needs a small, loving, supportive educational environment have them give us a call. We are excited about the opportunity to make school a joyful and intellectually stimulating place for children, and we offer a low-stress alternative for parents who are tired of filling out forms, keeping reading logs, and doing fund raising and volunteer work for their child's school. Come visit The New Classical Academy and see what education is meant to be about. |

Back to School Gathering
The event, held at the Cove Creek campground, was a big success. We shared a potluck meal and had a great time on the sliding rock, playing kickball, and toasting marshmallows for s'mores. Many of the staff camped out in tents and had the pleasure of watching meteors shoot through the dark night sky. We hope to go back to Cove Creek soon to introduce the students to rock climbing, as one of our dads has volunteered to belay the kids! |
First Day of School
We're back on Monday, August 27 for our second full year of operation. This year we have four classes encompassing grades K through 9. The new teachers, Nikki and Sarah, with help from their assistant Leah, have been preparing their classrooms all month. All three have also been trained in the Reading Reflex program and they have big plans for teaching and strengthening all the student's reading skills. |

She has been working with children for 10 years in both formal and informal settings. When she is not preparing for the next days' lesson, Nikki enjoys spending time with her wonderful daughter Whitney and their family. |
Asbestos
This will serve as our requirement to inform parents that there is no asbestos present in our building located at 38 Stoney Knob Road, Weaverville. The asbestos management plan is maintained in the school office and copies are available upon request. |
