Our Curriculum

Our school follows a unique curriculum in which each student works at her own pace in the basic subjects. These consist of math, grammar (literature and reading instruction), logic (critical thinking), rhetoric (handwriting and composition) and foreign languages. Each child is kept to basic age-appropriate standards while being allowed to delve as deeply as desired into subjects of interest.

Meanwhile in the sciences, history, and literature we follow a rotating four year curriculum. The whole school studies the same subjects each year creating many opportunities for learning between older and younger children and for exploring subjects at an individual pace. At the end of twelve years the students will have progressed through this cycle three times at a greater depth each time.

What follows are tables which provide examples of our four year cycle of study balanced with our "basic" requirements at each grade level.
